Snapchat empowers over 200 million people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. More than ever, social apps and communication tools must innovate to separate themselves from their competition. Snap Inc. approached Religion Studio to improve their mobile content creation and consumption experience by creating custom effects, lenses, and other next-gen mobile experiences.
Our goal was to empower Snapchat's users by introducing new and exciting ways to create and share great content. We started with a discovery process that included understanding in great detail the Snapchat user, competitive landscape, and market trends. Next, our design team wireframed, storyboarded, and prototyped dozens of products for creators to improve their content creation process.
We selected the eight most impactful products to fine-tune for production through close collaboration with Snap's product team. Last, we worked with Snap's engineering team to integrate each product into Snapchat. Our products are currently being tested by the client internally, with a release scheduled for early 2021.
